straight eight whistle

Need input! I've got a '53 Buick Special with a Straight Eight and Dynaflow. About five minutes into running it starts to whistle. Sounds like a vacuum whistle maybe from where the oil bath fits onto the carb throat. Have suspected the generator. Baffled. Anybody familiar with this?

take the air filter off see if that changes the sound. Thr spraying water from mister around outside of the carb to see if it changes sound. Does it idle fast?

Yes, the mister does change the sound, dampens it down. Think it might be a leak in intake manifold? It really starts up when I let up on the accelerator.
