straight 8 identification

first of all, Thanks for the add. and cheers from the Netherlandsengine2.jpgengine1.jpgengine3.jpg

I have a bit of a problem to identify my straight 8
seller told me it was a Buick , but i cant find out what type
Can someone help with this ?
it is attached to a dynaflow
70842304

some help would be great , i am lost on this one

To fit our chart, "Engine Identification, by the numbers" I would read that number as 7084230-4. The only place it could fit is a '52 dynaflow. But our chart doesn't show '53 straight eights used in the Special, and with the I bet yours is one.

Maybe Todd or someone can help us update our chart:)

It does fit. At least the way I read the chart. 1953 started with 6,950,620. Your engine is 133,610 into the production run for 1953 . Would have been in a 1953 Special. It is a 263 CI displacement, the only straight eight that year.

Welcome, Pinstripe.
