I am in process of assembling a 455 stage 2 Buick motor. I have a 1976 block with the following. Original stage 2 pistons, intake, carb. Ta stage 2 se heads, headers. What cam should I go with. I have the Hemi killer, ta310, and TA 290 already. It will be a street driver with art carr 200-4r and, original 4.78 rear.

Russ, Do you have the converter already ? what stall are you considering? I think you will not have enough vacuum for brakes if you use anything much larger then the Hemi Killer. That would be the one for me if wanting power brakes. If not and you are willing to go up in stall, maybe something like this. Or, give TA a call to see if they have something in a straight pattern cam that will lift in the mid to high .500s on a mid 240* to low 250* duration on 108-112 LS that is suited to stage 2 heads..

The convertor will be 2800.- 3000, with 1800 lockup. I have hydraulic brakes on car already. Wanted something still streetable.
