Paint Codes

Where, if at all, are people finding close to original 1950 paint colors? I’m looking for Calvin Grey (18), French White, and Dante Red. I’m not 100% sure if there was striping and if the wheels were body color or if they were the Dante Red, but I’d like to get some samples or touch up tubes or something to check them out. Thanks

I did see them, but they have what appears to be a ~$140 minimum spend and right now, I’m just looking to test to see if the colors are even close to matching.

Dante Red was the optional wheel color for Calvin Gray cars. The Fisher Body data plate will have a -1 suffix after the paint code if the car was built with Dante Red wheels.

Dante Red was also the engine color for 1941 Buicks. Places like www.oldbuickparts.com sell the engine enamel in spray cans.

Triple pinstripes were used as seen in this AACA message string:

The Buick Club of America judging manual pg. 29 confirms these details.

Thanks! My cowl tag just has an 18, no -1.
