Hi everyone. I am brand new to Buicks. I have been seriously considering a classic car for my next car (my DD is a '02 NIssan Xterra) and while my dad had a '57 Chevy back in his day, I really like the lines of a chopped and dropped '49 or '51 Buick coupe. They look better than Mercs. I really like the fastback look but if I can get my hands on any 2 door I'd be happy.
As far as fixing one up, I have few skills and want to learn others. Anyone know any salty dog restorers looking for an apprentice in Vegas? Hell I'd work for free on my weekends if I had to.
I want to pass on to my son what it means to see and feel American know-how...for some reason, it seems this basic tenet has been lost in recent decades. Time to get back to our roots.
If you haven't figured it out, I can type alot. I'm looking forward to tooling around here.
