oh, and i do quite like that paint job.

but, obviously, at that point you're no longer concerned about "restoring".
Much appreciated. I considered fabbing up some scoops, maybe even melting down a few old water pumps and give a go at casting.
Since they were originally cast metal. But, if it's just purely for aesthetics, I think Mickey Garrett(designer) would've approved.

Hey everyone! Thank you for the great information. I have a '67 GS that I'm trying to get up and going. A few questions I had from the VIN decode mentioned earlier.
So after the Z1, is the production number correct? does 5796 mean that it was the 5,796 GS California made? I thought the production numbers were in the 3,000 range.
Is it possible to decode the original paint and interior colors? When I got the car it had been painted, a different interior was put in it and an oldsmobile 350 powers it. I would like to bring it back to stock if I can. I think it was ivory, probably with a black, bucket seat interior.
Thank you in advance!

Yes, you can find the information on your "Body Number". Click on "67" at the top of the page. If you have a problem upload a picture of your Body Tag.
