Lost of classic car industry

I was looking at a tic tok video and saw that a lot of states are banning the operation of classic cars. Is this something that might go national wide and what can we do as a community?

California is not "a lot of states". California is proposing prohibiting the sale of new internal combustion cars by 2035 AS WELL AS establishing "Zero Emission Zones". so i'm assuming that the LA / SF Bay / San Diego / Sacramento metro areas would become no-go zones for all non-electric vehicles. but there's quite a lot of California that is very rural, so even a majority of the state wouldn't fall under the current proposals.
.
now, this doesn't mean that people shouldn't be concerned. various places in Europe have already tried completely banning classic cars and it's obvious the psycho retards in California are intending to get to that final solution eventually. no matter how destructive to the environment electrical vehicles / lithium battery banks are.
.
however, as seen with the Palisades Fire Dept lunatics, the hoi polloi are beginning to get quite fed up with the idiocy these policies generate. so it's an open question as to how far even Cali will get with this. especially since they have NO means of generating and / or transmitting the electrical power necessary to charge millions of vehicles on a nightly basis. at a minimum, they'd have to build several new nuke plants to supply the power needs for something like that and if there's ONE thing the green weenies are more insane about than IC powerplants, it's nuke plants.
.
but there are a LOT of states that don't even require an emissions inspection on the vehicle. so the real answer is that you probably should be moving someplace else.

You are correct California is not a lot of states. I meant to say some think a lot of states will follow California's lead. So I did mispeak. Please forgive me for my mis quote.. I'm just concern and wanted to know ppl thoughts.

EPA just dropped clean truck mandate that was going to take affect. Banning of combustion vehicles was for sale of new manufactured cars. It was Biden pushing Electric Vehicle. Legacy Auto Manufacturers were telling Biden his mandates were not possible. We had some EV manufacturers either go bankrupt, one from California, or in dire need of loans to survive. Legacy manufacturers took big losses trying to meet Biden's mandate. Toyota was smarter winner, just stayed on course with Hybrids. Currently the EV hype bubble is in the post burst stage. With Tarriffs in effect a new concern has taken center stage for all American car manufacturers that have moved out operations to China from US.

the EPA move is something classic car people should appreciate. the problem being, that the next president could re-instate this policy at the stroke of the pen in the same way that Trump eliminated it.

i would not be on tic tok. the Chinese communists are watching you. drive your classic car till they pry from your dead cold hands
That's my intentions. It will be delivered after being in the bodyshop for over a year. I was just concerned, wanted to know if I would be able to enjoy it for years to come. Thanks for the advice.

The classic car industry has a very big lobby and many of the legislators are old guys with classics. California is a case unto itself. It is not representative of the other states. Many states are very lenient towards classics. Here in PA there are several ways to put a classic on the road and they are exempt from laws made after their manufacture date. So a 63 Riviera, for instance, does not need seat belts, a third brake light, catalytic converters etc.
