Grace - My 68 Riviera GS

Newbie
Hi everyone—glad to finally join Team Buick. I’m the proud caretaker of Grace, my 1968 Buick Riviera, which is still very much a stock survivor with a few thoughtful updates aimed at reliability and comfort. She’s been converted to electronic ignition, the air conditioning has been upgraded using Old Air Products components, and the alternator has been updated to an internally regulated unit—otherwise, she remains factory original. Looking ahead to 2026, my main project will be replacing the original 3-speed with a built 200-4R overdrive transmission, which will require extending the driveshaft by nearly 10 inches and shifting to a 27 tooth spline. It’s a bit ambitious, but I’m excited to take it on and I’m looking forward to learning from the collective experience here and sharing the journey as Grace continues to evolve.
I’ve attached a couple pics. Fleck is where Grace found her first owner (Bismarck, ND).
