Gas Poll

here, let me make this simple for you: IF I'M SUCH AN ASSHOLE REPORT ME.

there's a toolbar on the bottom of every post. in the middle of the toolbar, there's a little triangle symbol. mouse over that and you see that it comes up as the "report post" button.

click on that and explain the problem that *i'm* causing.

you're to the point now, where i'm getting curious what's going to happen.

or you could, you know, stop talking politics.

No we never said your were an asshole. We said your were a condescending a##hole. There is a difference.

Mando - Your a real piece of work - and it's a laugh and starting to get somewhat entertaining at this point, what with you telling us to stop talking politics and all the while you have all that political dribble quotes pasted at the bottom of your signature page. We don't report anyone for anything even when we should, cause we believe in free speech. Free speech that is, until it infringes on other people as it has on this forum topic and it becomes a license for verbal retribution and abuse.

Now for the last time follow your own advice. We suggest that you can start by removing your signature political dribble, apologizing for being arrogant and condescending cause I think the majority of us want to hear about gas prices not about off topic rants and soap box raves. I have already apologized to the others for becoming political here now how about your turn. After all the rest of us are having to read your political commentary on your signature line every time we look at one of your postings - If I were to complain about anything it would be that ! :hurray:

Aha, well Mr. BornBuick, you have no idea how easy you were to "bait and hook" into the predicament you find yourself. Make no mistake that you are the one in the goofball seat. People will come to the Gas Poll just to see you show your smooth and shiny. Of course I will keep coming here to see prices like $167.9 In Columbus Ohio :jeez:. I bought premium today for the Regal at a measley $2.04.9. My condolences to Columbus Ohio. Mr.BornBuick must have been elected to the state house there and raised your taxes through the roof to pay all the state entitled handouts, or is it progressive vote enhancements? Or is it just plain Communist destruction of America. It's all just so foggy to me!

Have great day BornBuick and remember, tis the season for politics and tag, your it:bana:

I love this country:D

ah, we've moved from the "I want to talk politics" phase to the ad hominem attacks, browbeating and passive aggressive attempts at silencing and censorship. this is the typical progression of Leftist, ahem, debate. which is why you so rarely see a Leftist actually win a debate on the facts ( or spelling ) ... they never even bother to engage in it.

who's this "we", white man?

you have all that political dribble quotes

tell you what, you demonstrate that either of those quotes are false and i'll remove them. even though the second quote isn't politics at all.

otherwise, i guess you'll just have to admit that the Frankfurt School has succeeded in their implementation.

i would appreciate it if you don't troll people into political arguments that you don't appear to want to discuss seriously. because, you see, you're also trolling *me* into them, by definition.

i don't have a problem if you want to talk about or debate something. i don't even care if you get a bit enthusiastic.

but causing fights for the sake of causing fights is not cool.

regardless, i think this particular exchange is done with.

so far as my "Who's this 'we', white man?" question, that's a throwback to an old Tonto and Lone Ranger joke.

http://www.michaelclark.name/jokes/misc/the_lone_ranger_and_tonto.shtml

this argument will never end, and it shouldn't!

let's all just give it a rest.

*shrugs* i wasn't the one asserting that plainly unConstitutional Federal powers are not only in the Constitution, but required functions of the Federal government.

once you realize that the things he's calling for:

a - are not and never have been in the Constitution
b - never existed from the Federal Gov ( there's nothing to prohibit your particular state from implementing such policies. you know, that pesky 10th Amendment again ) in any form until the 1900s, particularly Wilson and FDR. that's more than 100 years this nation existed without them
c - come straight from the Communist Manifesto

it gets a bit freaky.

this was Marx/Engels basic blueprint for what a Communist society would look like:
https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/ch02.htm
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, &c, &c.

we have partially or entirely implemented almost every single one of those ten points. weird.

The price today for diesel was 2.56 on the left coast.

if you know where to get it, diesel in northern Indiana ( particularly Elkhart, Lake and Allen counties ) is $1.89. which is just another reason for you to hate me.

SC, GA and MO are also usually very good. i found a good price out in the middle of WA off I-90 but i only stopped there once so i don't know if that was a one off fluke or typical.

Indiana has always had cheap fuel in the north. Gets the folks leaving Michigan and those taxes and the people driving east from ChiTown. As for the "manifesto" thing, well this is just another way of looking at things. I'm a bit of a news and politics follower and I've not seen anything even remotely resembling what you mentioned in your last four points. These "arguments" have gone on since long before Wilson or FDR or the Progressive movement were even envisioned. What I find here is that people don't like the laws passed after the civil war or the ones passed before it either. How much longer are gonna scream "(fill in the blank) is coming to take my ( fill in your favorite "right" here). I realize I'm only 62 now and only survived three recessions and one race riot and now eleven presidents and yet to see even one right of mine as a citizen of the United States of America taken from me. I've said all I can say and I thank Bob and all the great Buick lovers here for the time and space to write this. Bob, I don't agree with even the remotest thing you have mentioned here but I respect the hell out of your knowledge about the Buicks and Thank you for being a concerned and active American!

Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?

Lexington Park MD has $1.75 Reg and $1.79 Diesel. for some reason, the Chesapeake area of MD seems to do pretty good.

also, when possible i quote non-taxed diesel prices.

Don't know how low it will go but remember traveling with my dad through west Texas and he bought gas for .12 cents a gallon and they gave us S&H Green Stamps too!. I was real young and the year was probably between 1953-1955. They used to have gas wars and the stations would keep dropping the price to get customer's. It was before the interstates were all over the place.

I have a 500 gal. tank from the days when I used to drive from Eastland TX to Ft.Worth everyday. It was back in the early 90's and the company would deliver Exxon out here to the farm. Maybe I can sell it to someone lol.
