I have looked left and right for a fan shroud that could fit my 1966 Wildcat, I could not find anything, original, used or new (except a single one priced at $225 🤯).

Fan diameter is 20" (model with AC). The radiator core (17" x 28-3/8") is off-centered towards the passenger side by about 2.5" (the transmission cooler is on the driver side as shown on the sketch for the 49000, similar to the 46000) so the shroud should be a bit longer on the passenger side. The core seats a little lower than the fan axle. There seems to be no direct reproduction available (e.g. Restoparts), so I am looking for the closest match I can use with mods.

Has someone on this forum found a supplier for shrouds? Any insight welcomed!

i would use one for a '63-'65 Riv. & do the ec. mods to make it work for you. Once I took an original A/C shroud from a '66 Electra & made it work in my '64 Riv. that originally did not have A/C.

Agree. And based on part catalogue, the 1966 Wildcat model did not come with a shroud. (??!)

Mine works perfectly without. So I won't bother and may in due course put an electric fan whenever I decide to turbocharge the nailhead. 😇 But only after I can stop it, i.e. upgrade the brakes to disc-disc. Right now, feels like I am driving a container ship...
