Engine identification 340 ? 1374557m

the only engine casting numbers i have found on the back of the blockare
1374557M only one letter M at the end of the casting number.
from the past hours research ive come to the conclusion its a 340 ? any help would be apprecaited thx agian.


anyone looking for a aluminuim 300 let me know
 
That agrees with the information in the reference section! M doesn't matter.


we really ought to get the intake measurements for the 215, 300 and 340 decks.
 
i have a request out. the data i'm collecting will probably include Rover dimensions.

suggestion:
modify the name of the "400, 430, 455" forum to be "Big Block: 400, 430, 455", separate Nailhead from it's displacements with a colon and rename the small block forum to "Buick Small Block and V6, Rover V8".

the small block title might be too cumbersome if you put all the displacements in it.

further suggestion: would it be possible to add "Nailhead" to the forum dictionary. i'm tired of the spell checker underlining "Nailhead" in red. :clonk::D
 
Spell Check? Nailhead! Actually the spell checker is on your computer. The little spelling.gif just triggers it.

I followed your other suggestions.
