It looks like it is a one year only cooler. You could take it to a radiator repair shop and ask them if they could fix it.

Hello Bob.I dont think a radiator fix my problem.Iron in cooler rusts over time. Now i have taken down cooler and i find a massive leak.Put my goggles on and whit weldering the rustholes in the cooler.I am a wrong ol man ,ever needed some help from shops that takes money.Best doing it self.Doing it problibe the best way and sheaper.Next summer rides my Lady,And i can feel a big satified of my work. Now i shall order watertubes 5/8 for the old is maibe 35 years and they are melting down under tranny/oil.Sorry of bad spelling.Stubbe in a nice sunny day in Sweden.

You could ALSO put in a '56,'57, '58 radiator that has a cooler built into the bottom of the radiator. Only other thing is making up the lines from the trans. to the radiator. The original coolers were very in-efficent at cooling the trans. oil that's one of the reasons '53-'55 had the failure rate so high.
