May 16 was drive your woodie day (Nation Woodie Club) so as I and my wife had to work today, this evening I drove my 52 Buick Estate wagon into town for a take out pizza. As I parked a man came up and observed my car. When I got to the sidewalk he asked me about the car and I told him it was a 52. He informed me it was not a real Buick woodie, his dad had a 52 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagon when he was growing up and it was all wood. So mine was a fake that someone had just put together. I did not tell him I had owned it for 35 years and I had saw plenty of 52s that looked exactly like mine. Every once in a while you run into these car experts.
