Where are you located, sir?

Don't be scared! Jump in with both feet. The thread can be found on the AACA.org website. Scroll down to the Buick forums, then Modified, then search for "Modified 263 for my 1950 41D". Ten pages.

Not pimped out. Only because the green is in short supply. And I am not a "pimping" sort of guy.

The "hot" 263 is impressive. Not 300hp V8 impressive, but good enough for this old man.

YO Ben,

Just read all ten pages great thread and lots of info! I'm stuck up in the pnw just about an hour north of the greatly overpopulated rain rotted Seattle hopefully moving 6 hours east in the near future. I can also say your Buick is VERY pimped 12v with p.s. even a.c. NOT THE MENTION THE VISOR.
I'm still twiddling my little 248 trying to figure out 6v systems best thing my engine compartment ever got was a hand made stainless valve cover and no its NOT nickel plated. I plan on staying i8 unless they go missing almost entirely then I've toyed around the idea of the air cooled duetz but that might be a way out if ever...

Hello there, I have a 48 Chevy 3/4 ton truck that I installed a 53 Buick 263.

Fantastic! Is it on the road? What Tranny and rear end?

Perhaps you can start a thread for this. Hopefully it will be allowed. If not I would like to stay in touch.

I have a thread and it’s “buick Straight 8” and the truck is on the road. The tranny is a Muncie 420 4 speed. Torque tube is in place along with the Eaton HO52 4.57. I Want to swap gears to 4.10 or 3.90. I just rebuilt the Carter carburetor. New Aluminum radiator with electric fan on a relay(adjustable) along with an over ride toggle switch just in case. I ran all new electrical wiring to handle the new 12 volt system. I need to take new pictures and share them with all you guys if you’re interested. The pictures I posted are the old ones from when I dry fitted the engine. Thanks for reading this, enjoy.

that is a sweet truck how does it compare with the 235 thats was there... do you know?
crazy to see i8 engines getting swapped

The #1 piston on the 235 would not move. It was missing a lot of its components and I bought the 263 before I came across the truck. So when I saw the truck, it all made sense.

Cool swap, Lus... I have one of each..... but don't think a Straight8 into my AD is a plan, lol
