Buick windshield

I have a tiny leak in the windshield, bottom right hand side. Is there a way to stop the leak without removing windshield?

Maybe. It's a 55, IIRC? So you have the rubber seal surrounding the glass?

Suggest first thing to do is to zero in on the actual leak. It might not be the windshield, it might be the metal surrounding the windshield.

Can maybe find the ingress point by pouring soapy water on the outside of the windshield and then blasting from the inside w compressed air or a leaf blower.

If the bubbles come between the rubber and the glass, *maybe* you could seal it w some sort of adhesive. Like: see if you can peel back the seal, inside and out, and inject a urethane or some sort of soft-set adhesive (like gasket cement) in there, hoping it'll flow and fill any voids.

If the bubbles come between the gasket and the metal, however, then you could have bigger issues, like rust holes in the metal. You can still try sealer, it's worth a shot, but it probably won't work.

IMO you probably don't want to use a silicone-based caulk - might work for a while, but it won't necessarily stay adhered.

Hopefully you won't need to pull the glass.

Thank you so much. I will see what happens. What risks are you taking by the windshield removed and have a new seal put in,’s a 55 Buick. Very old glass.

Windshields, bull bars, bumpers take 2 people to install with the right tools to handle the parts. Yet, some are too strong to accept this idea and go at it alone.
