Are These Factory Steering Assembly Markings?

After cleaning off 40+ years of grease and sand from the front suspension of my 67 Electra I found these markings. They seem to be enamel that was applied with a brush. Would these be inspectors or completed assembly markings? The green paint covered the bolt heads of the adjusting sleeves leading me to believe they've never been touched. Although my car is far from a concours resto if they were there originally I would like to replace them if they really belong there. Any help is appreciated, Thanks. - Bill
Edit: the car was built in Flint the 2nd week of May 1967 if that helps anybody.

Those paint marks are on assemblies that had to be tight and probably required an inspector to put his final OK on it before it left that assembly area. Those inspectors are all retired by now.
