April 2006 Hemmings Motor News

:waving: Hey Guys!

Just got my April edition of Hemmings and on the cover and feature story is about a 1954 Buick Roadmaster Convertable Model 76C

This same vehicle owned by Dr. Ken Laytin of Plymouth Mass. was featured in the July 2005 Resuration Profile in Hemmings Classic Car in July 2005.

I know the car since the owner is in a local club the MinuteMan Division of the BCA.

Let me tell you. This car is to die for! It is impecable. I would sell my soul to the devil himself for a car like that.

I have heard that it took about 40K to restore this car. Of course it was a complete restoration top to bottom and inside and out and upside down.

It's a real nice article with some terrific color photos.

Just thought that I would pass along this valued Information.

Regards,:beers:

Ughhh no trying to be good dude. I have been buying alot of parts for my 55 buick so in a few weeks when it starts getting hot down here in texas i can work on her. I was trying to find someone who sells floor pans for a 55 buick sedan 4 dr. I came across a real cheap company last week here online but i cant find it anymore? Recentley all my radiator fluid leaked out of my car, and everytime i would add some it would leak more. So i decided to unhook the battery and let the car sit for about 3 weeks. Last nite i went and put water in it and drove it around and now its not leaking anymore? I dont know if it has something to do with the heater controls, my heater doesnt work and the previous owner removed some heater hose for some odd reason. I guess it was leaking inside the car.. around th front passenger side near the coil. But i dont know? Im real happy cuz like a 2 weeks ago i got 2 whole rebuilt rocker arm assemblies, a tune up kit, one extra spark plug wire cover, volt. regulator and used generator for 60 bucks. I just hope i can put these on my 264v8.. as it should. I also bought 3 sets of brake linings for the rear brakes. I guess tonite or sometime this week im going to take her to a shop and have them turn my drums, which i bought used almost a yr ago. And take alook at what may caused the radiator to leak. I could do the brakes myself but i need to get the drums turned, and the brake linings i have have to be revited onto my curent shoes which i dont know how to do. So hopefully whereever i take it they will do a good job. Anyways just trying to be good tom and make my mom proud, kc

Re: Floor Pans

:waving: Hey KMC

What Up?

The only place I'm aware of that has floor pans for our cars is Classic Fabrication 843-650-0385

I think they have a website. Use a google search.

Perhaps Mac's Garage?
