65 Wildcat Convertable Manual window controller is very difficult to turn?

I just purchased this beautiful Wildcat with only 44,000 miles from a relative, the passenger window is really hard to turn and it sticks. I removed the door panel and everything seems to be free and I do not believe that the window or it's rails are the problem, but it seems more like the crank itself is the problem. How do I remove that and where could I get a replacement one. I don't see any place on line where I can order a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a body man but I am sure I can get it out with a little direction.
Thanks

Here are the pages from the Buick Body Manual showing how to remove the regulator (crank). Start on the last page using instructions for the "67" (convertible) body style. Then it will be necessary to bounce around to the earlier pages for the specific tasks. You will be a body man after removing and replacing the parts and getting the windows readjusted:D.

The manual right-door window regulator is a GM part no 7609588. This part no was used on many but not all '65-66 BOP and Chevy 2-door full-size cars.

These are showing up available as used, NOS, and reproduction parts by Googling "GM 7609588". Sites catering to Chev Impala and Pont Grand Prix are typical sources.

Your trouble sounds typical for a seldom-used window. Although it was not a routine maintenance item, the factory gave instructions for lubricating the interior door mechanisms per the attached pages. Maybe a good cleaning and re-application of Lubriplate will restore proper operation.

I think I got all the needed data in the attachments. Can send more if needed. It would be a good idea to get the 1965 Buick Shop Manual and Body Manual in order to know all about the car.

Thanks for your replies, I found online the regulator from CARID that says it is an exact match for a little over $100.00 It sounds like that is what I probably need, the more I work and lubricate the old one the more I think it isn't going to work satisfactory but I guess I need to remove it and see just what it looks like on the bench. Near the top with window about an inch down it seems to catch and then skip like something is stripped there but with a little help pulling on the window and especially pulling inward on the lower support of window frame with panel off it will crank past the catch. Also, the outside weather strip has a pretty wide gap between the door and window that will let water into door so if I have it all apart I better try to install that new too, I'm not sure on how to proceed with that so I may need some advice.

The front door window glass run outer weatherstrip assy, RH side, is a GM part no 9706920. Again luckily other GM divisions used this same part. It is available as a reproduction part from www.steelerubber.com as their no 70-0869-61 for the RH and LH pair.

Here are the pages from the body manual concerning the strip.

Another possible source for the regulator is www.regulatorroy.net

Thanks again for your input. I finally decided to try my hand at being a body man and following your instructions I removed the window and then the regulator. Just as I suspected, there was one tooth missing totally and half of the next one off so that explains the problem with the last inch of upward movement. I ordered a new one from Car ID, had a salesman on the phone that was very helpful. I also ordered that outer weather seal that is worn down or at least it doesn't look like the one on the drivers side that seals perfectly. I also ordered that front run channel that the front of the glass slides up and down in because there is a lot of slop in it and that's probably why it is necessary to pull inward to finish rolling it up. I'm not sure if the pages above cover installing that seal or not. It would be the back side of the vent window post or channel I guess, I'm not familiar with all of the specific names.
Here is a picture of the car I'm working on. convertible.jpg
