Had this Special for 20 yrs. Started out going for stock, Now has an 84 Impala drive train; 350, 700R4, and rear axle. Going to try to keep it LOOKING stock for the most part exept for the LOCAR floor shifter.
Question: The ingnition switch has 3 positions; Lock, On, and Off and 3 terminals on the back. The key can be removed in any position. I've been testing with an ohmeter and can't tell which terminal is the power in terminal. In the On position all three teminals have continuity with the other two. It should work in any arrangement but I'm sure there is a correct configuration. Also, is there no Accessory posistion? I know the start button isn't part of the key switch. I could always use an aftermarket switch and key as I will put in a street rod wire harness but I like the look of the original. I could hide a push button start switch just to confuse people.
