2barrel stromberg to 4barrel Carter

I have a 55 Buick special with a 264 nailhead, it has the stock 2 barrel stromberg carb. Im going to change out this carb and existing intake manifold and replace with a 4 barrel carter Wcfb and intake manifold. I was told this Carter carb was from a 55 Buick century 322. I noticed the starter switch is different on the stromberg carb. My question, will the start switch work the same on the Carter carb? Thanks in advance to any help.
 
If the Carter carb has the two pronged switch built into the carb it should work just like your old carb. You can do a quick check with a continuity test. Put a volt-ohm meter in the ohm position and attach to the two terminals of the carb switch. Operate the throttle by hand on the carb and see if the switch works. The later Carter carbs did not have the switch. Buick quit using the push to start feature around 1961 or 62.
