1975 Century wagon

The GM door window outer glass run weatherstrip part nos are:
LF - 9673655
RF - 9673654
LR - 9620809
RR - 9620808

These items show likely availability at www.montemania.com

The rear quarter vent window weatherstrip nos are:
LH - 9737275
RH - 9737274

No source could be found for these. Some could turn up by periodically checking "GM 9737274" etc on Google and eBay.

Do you need any other items besides these?

This is a station wagon and want to make sure they will fit before I spend $500 + on the set.

Probably the only hope you have of ensuring fit will be, when you order them from which ever supplier you choose, discuss your application with them and get their assurance (preferably in writing) that the parts will fit or can be returned. Then open packaging neatly!

Experience has it, that all suppliers will tell you their part fit, even when they don't. If you complain, you are always the first complaint they have received. This is often because previous purchasers have not bothered to complain. Some, with the ability, often take the poor fitting part and modify it so that it is acceptable.

The best way of finding the "best fitting" part is to find NOS. That can be hard and expensive.

Mick, attached are the pages out of the original Buick Master Parts Books used to come up with these numbers. These were printed back when the parts were still available at the dealerships. Can't think of a better source for part numbers. The first page identifies the part names Buick used and the catalog sections where located (front strips - 10.710, rear strips - 10.774). The second and third page give the four part numbers.

Researching original parts books for the other three GM divisions that built A body cars shows the same 4 part numbers are used for 4 door cars for all 5 years ('73-77) of this design.

There could be a concern with buying NOS parts that have been sitting on a dealer's shelf for 40+ years as far as shrinkage and hardening go. The similar strips on my '76 Olds Delta 88 are becoming hard and tear easily. And this car has always been in a garage.

The ideal solution would be to find one of the aftermarket rubber suppliers planning to reproduce these strips. Inquiries to vendors such as

or

using the GM numbers may turn up something being planned. My bet is they are coming, it's just a question of when?

Still, if something goes wrong with an order, the integrity of the supplier will have to come into play to make things right.
