1966 Electra Convertible Sourcing Body Bushings, Trunk Floor Pan Bar

I've got to replace the rearmost body bushings (#7, at trunk corner). I see everything but one specific to the 1966 Electra Convertible, as usual! (ClassicBuick.com has a full kit for $350, which seems wicked steep.) Will any 66 C body work, or a generic one? In any case, the floor pan bar is so rusted out I'll need to weld in a new one. Any sources for that pre-shaped would be nice too.

You mean like this? I'd never heard of such a thing and couldn't figure out why the Buick had a bushing made in Czechoslovakia. This time I need all the hardware and such. Looks as if a standard 2" diameter bushing will work. HockeyPuck.jpg

You can shop for bushings looking up thick rubber washers, rubber bushings, replacement bushing, etc. Select the hardness you want for your bushing with durometer of 70-90 on A scale, this is same as a car tire. 70 softest, 90 hardest. Use Digital caliper to get your measurements you need. If you have a bushing shape that no one makes you can make one out of urethane.
