1950 Temp gauge and probe

Hi All,
Here is what I own, 1950 Buick Special Model 41 with a 248 engine. I was preping the engine for removal and overhaul when I broke off the temp sensor probe in the head. The machine shop removed it for me, but now I'm stuck as to where I can purchase a replacement. If anyone knows I would sure appreciate the info.
Thanks,
Sgt Mac
As a side note: The engine is not froze any more. After the head was removed I sprayed PB Blaster in each cylinder then a socket and cheater bar to the crank nut while a friend used a small pry bar at the fly wheel and thats all it took, no more froze engine, what a relief.

Harbor Freight sells a CHEAP 3 gauge set including a mechanical temp gauge. I bought this, pulled the gauge cover off and used the innerds in my original dash gauge! it pretty much just bolts right in and the only difference is that the needle is neon red... You can't really tell unless you know its wrong.
