1949 Hood latch release cable.

Hello all! I have a newly acquired 1949 Super. The driver side Hood latch release cable appears to be in need of a replacement.

I have ordered a set of replacement hood cables from CARS https://www.oldbuickparts.com
I was looking for any tips or tricks. It seems straight forward but that is what always gets me in trouble.

I would say that fellow had a tough break! Notice he never actually checked his latches were working correctly until after the incident, then found the problem, and fixed it. I would say, follow the instructions in the manual and make sure they are locking down as they are supposed to and you should be good to go.
