What do you use at home or from the shelf that is a good parts washer solution. I remember the tubs with re circulating fluids but do not know what the solution is. Got any ideas. And we had a time getting the pistons out of our 340. Had to beat each one out 1 at a time. It was hard enough...

We have a 340 and attempting to remove the torque converter to place engine on stand. Have not obtained working wrench to get at two bolts. Engine will not roll around with heavy weight on damper bolt or converter. Any ideas or warnings. Thanks

If the birth radio does not work, remove the screws in the dash, then the two bolts in radio, Then rear guts leaving the sliding red bar working and you have an instant slide in and slide out drawer with enough space to hide your keys, cell phone, 5 cuban cigars. Truly works

On the 340 there was only one damper. Is that normal or has someone forgot to replace 3. if so,why just one. Off hand would a chevy 71 307 mount in a 66 lesabre, how bout a Pontiac 400. Thanks

Please Verify this. 1, have to remove bearings with drum to get to brakes, correct, 2, two bolts on crossmember to remove transmission with engine at same time. I believe this is the 340 engine. Planning on full rebuild. any good ideas for cams, pistons,valves etc. Thanks...
