Newbie with a 1964 Buick LeSabre

From what I can see the lock cylinder is missing. Perhaps the latch mechanism is still in place. Look inside the hole using a flashlight and look for a vertical slot. Using a flat blade screw driver turn the slot clockwise. The trunk should pop open or might require a lift once you hear the...

63 Electra grille to 63 Wildcat grille SWAP

Fenders, hood trim, bumpers seem the same for both a 63 Wildcat and 63 Electra. I cannot imagine the radiator support being exclusive to either car. The 63 Electra's rectangle headlight bezels are hideous whereas the 63 Wildcat grille is sharp and distinct. I know, I used to be purist but...

    Newbie from Missouri

Once upon a time I had 75 Nova. Posi out of a Pontiac, 1-3/16" mechanical (front) and 1" rear anti-sway bars from a Camaro. 2.2 steering box from a Camaro. The list goes on. You certainly have a lot of options when shopping parts. Welcome.

    Info about my engine

63's came with either a V6 or V8 (215 V8). What makes you think the car has an engine swap? In the meantime I'll look up engine codes and report my findings.

62 floor pans & transmission tunnel

Do 1962 Invicta and LeSabre share the same floor pans (for automatic transmission) as 1962 Chevrolet Impala? Is a floor shift (automatic) floor pan the same as a column shift floor pan? Would a bucket seat car utilize a different floor pan?

    Buick -57 overheating

Based on Todd's post regarding temperature gauge issue on 57 cars. Does the car have an aftermarket temperature gauge? Does the radiator 'spit' coolant? What symptoms is the car having?

Thank you for the very detailed procedure of removing the door panel. I wanted to remove the trim from the door panel to perform a color change on the vinyl. Update on the car: yet another claim of no rust and no never been in a major collision. Car was filler from doors to tail lights...

    Buick -57 overheating

Sounds as though you're not moving enough air and or water through the system at low speed. Having had 2 bad thermostats brand new off the shelf, I would remove the thermostat and test drive the car. I also had a nailhead with a very worn timing set (gears and chain) it ran hot. Make sure...

    Removing door panel trim(s)

I cannot remember, do interior door panel trim pieces attach to the vinyl only, or do the tabs go through the vinyl and the cardboard? These are 65 Wildcat door panels with the big sexy

Vinyl paint color change black door panels to white door panels

I used SEM vinyl paint back in the early 90's to change a blue interior black and the result was very good. I had the car for about 3 years and the finish held up well. What about going from black to white? Anyone painted black door panels or seats white?

    65 window glass

I know of an instance in which a guy pulled the wiring harness, motors and regulators from a 63 Wildcat convertible and converted his Impala to power window using those parts. So my questions is, is a 65 LeSabre/ Wildcat also the same motors and regulators as a 65 Impala? Oh and yes he...
