Greetings! Does anyone know a suitable substitute for the shock absorber oil for my '39?

Can anyone out there tell me with all certainty , what if any, year or make rear fenders will interchange with those of a 1939 Buick special? I really need a DEFINATE answer, as I have several different makes and years to chose from, and cannot get a refund afetr the fact.

Does anyone have a decent right-rear fender for a 1939 Buick Special, that you could part with. Not enough left of mine to rebuild it.

Ok...after doing some reading on this site, i'm finding out that my'39 special w/ manual trans. Has solid lifters. Is it worth the work/expense/ trouble to change things over to use the hydraulic lifters? Would it even be possible, or is there a difference in oil routing in the block? Second...
