    Buick engine specifications - 4.1 V6

I have a 4.1L V6 with a casting #25520044 and determined it was one of many different castings for the 4.1 from the late 70's to early 80's. I am trying to determine what the factory "deck thickness" is on this particular casting. Any resources for finding these specs out? Thanks, Eric

Anybody have a set of V6 225 mounts laying around that could snap a couple pics for reference? I'm having clearance issues with my transplant and think they may be an option. Thanks, Eric

Take a peek at this article on Turbobuicks.com and see if your block qualifies for the conversion: TurboBuicks.com - Build a Budget 4.1 Motor! BTW - Don't listen to me...I'm biased toward the Turbo Six! :bana:

    401 nailhead or 3.8l turbo'd 61/62 Special

Go with the 3.8..... The aftermarket speed parts are plentiful and you will have the mileage AND the power. Be sure to grab a BRF 200R4 to go with it. :shifter: As soon as I get the body off of the chassis on the 64 in the next couple weeks, I'll be fitting the GN drivetrain as well.

Any San Diego area peeps in the house?

Anyone in San Diego want a 63' Lark project? There is a complete 63 Skylark in East County that would be a great project. The car was being prep'd for paint and all of the trim/mouldings were removed. I looked at the car two separate times and the only reason I didn't buy it was because of the...

    64 300 teardown and inspection

I have a 64 Skylark with the original 300 and the PO said it was seized when he bought it(~2000). The car has not been on the road since 1987. The lower end of the hose from the top of the water pump to the choke is broken off and blown open an inch or two above the joint. There's no oil on...

    Nailhead frame pads

Are the frame pads on a 66 Skylark GS removable? Aside from the 66 chassi manual, I can't seem to find any pics of the mounts/pads anywhere. If so, will the 300/340 pads bolt on without modifying the cross member? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Building a better Sleeper - Turbo Six Style

I have a complete 87 55K GN drivetrain and all of the wiring(from a wrecker) all the way back to the posi rear. I'm searching for a donor car and came accross a few candidates. I have a shot @ a couple different 65-66 Novas, one is a four door with hardly any rust minus the drivetrain for...
