From my experience, linkage, length, etc. is the same. Most models it is pretty much a bolt-in, but on some, crossmember adjustment/relocation/reorientation is required, nothing major. Also needs a vacuum line from intake or carb for the modulator. If you do this swap, make sure you get a BOP...

I'm no expert, but I think you may have to get a column that was built for use with an overdrive transmission.... Something like a Cutlass, Regal, Monte, S-10, etc.. I think the travel length is different....

Hi... I am a newbie to this board, and own an 84 Regal with a 4.1L 4 barrel carb. I have a bunch of parts that used to be a Buick 455 (idiot was paid to assemble it and never finished the job) and am contemplating the pros and cons of finishing the V8 versus modifying the V6 to be a nice street...

I see "stick a turbo on that 4.1".... I am assuming you mean to rebuild it as a turbo engine, but I am curious, does a 4.1 have forged or hypereutectic pistons from the factory? I am assuming I'm asking for trouble simply installing a turbo setup on what's already there...

Possible the bad cable burned up the regulator....

Thanks for the advice.... Yes, I need rocker covers, intake, carb, distributor, timing cover (maybe?), oil pan, brackets, etc... I got an oil pan back from this idiot, but it does not appear to be for a Buick... looks like Ford. Buying everything new, by the time I get the frame mount pads...
