Never quite made a good full pass. It kept breaking up all through third gear. Seemed like a fuel isssue, so i got a holley blue pump . Better, not it. Stock points dist, got a crane electric unit in it, better coil, bumped timing, still having issues. It comes and goes, bset ever was a 14.65. any ideas???

Just some thoughts, this is turning into a thread that would be nice to have in "bracket racing".
I don't know, but if you've got the fuel problem licked, its almost certainly in the ignition. Are you sure you have enough fuel to the carb. you could have a fuel line restriction. Check it for volume with a 5 gal. can and a stop watch.
Assuming your new distributor and coil are good. As you pull your higher gears, the load on the system is increasing. Are your wires good enough for the increased coil. Are they properly installed, 1/2" minimum spacing crossing at 90 degrees.
What is you initial timeing and how much mechanical are you running.
Maybe you should post this on the webboard so that people are more likely to see it and respond.
