1953 Skylark ,Restor
The 53 Skylark is my most favorite Buick of all time. I was just 13 years when I learned of the first Buick Skylark. It's funny, I was born in 1953, the first Skylark I laid eyes on was one my older brother bought for (get this) $200.00 in 1966. It was all white outside, with blue and white interior. He used it for about a year, and then parked in front of my Moms house. It sat there for about 6 years. My Mom asked my nephew to move it, and a 47 Super as well. Well my nephew being young, moved them alright. With a bulldozer!!! Yes he crushed both of them!!! Every time I think of it, I get a pit in my stomach, it's depressing. But your Skylark is beautiful, I'm not crazy about the continental kit. It is nice, I don't prefer it. If you would, please post more photos of your Skylark (Custom Roadmaster) 1953 is the only Skylark that's based on a Roadmaster chassis. The 1954 Skylark is based on a Century chassis, which is really a Special body with a Roadmaster engine. |
