my strait eight issue
I recently picked up a strait eight for a hot rod project im working on and i have been trying to find out more about the engine. after going through the resources on the site i have been stumped. what i do know is the engine is not the 320 do to the boss location. But when i reference the numbers they don't jive.

I think 1952 engines for the 40 Series began with 66462304 and 1953 began with 69506204...I'm fairly certain that the last number merely denoted the Series, i.e. 4, 5, and 7 for series 40 (Special), 50 (Super), and 70 (Roadmaster)...so that would put your block in late 1952 I think?

Engine Id
If you post on the BCA website, there is a guy out there that can tell you just about everything you would want to know about your engine. Good luck.
