Thread: Interior help needed!!

  1. #1

    Exclamation Interior help needed!!

I have a couple of issues that I could use some information on. First, what is the best adhesive to use to attach my new ashwell covers to the ashwells? I have cleaned them up and replaced the fiber board so they are ready for the new covers and padding.

Second, I ordered a new package tray from Legendary and it is five inches bigger than the original one, no way it is going to fit. I have sent pictures of both trays to the Legendary Tech center and I am waiting on a response. I am just wondering if this is a one time occurrence or if others have had the same problem? I am not bashing Legendary, everything else I received is top quality. The tray I ordered is supposed to fit 1968 to 1972 sport coupes. Is there that much of a difference between the 68-69 and 70-72 tray sizes?

I appreciate all help and comments.

    Thank you.

This isn't an answer to your question, but I know the next time I do a bunch of interior work, I am going to try a product called "lizard skin". I would like to use it on the floor and the inside of the roof.

  4. I used B-Quiet ultimate in my Cobra to help with the exhaust drone in the convertible. It has similar performance as Dynamat Extreme, but at half the cost and less weight per area. Two rolls covered the floor pan, under the rear seat, trunk and quarter panels. I found it at half the cost listed in the link above on Ebay. It isolated road and exhaust noise from the cabin very well. I didn't have to talk loud anymore for passengers to hear me and I did not have to turn the stereo way up to hear it. I have since changed the exhaust and it is even better (quieter) now.

I am not to this point yet on my 54 but plan on using lizard skin.
