I was able to get a lot done this week- I scrapped both of my parts cars (after removing every last thing of value), got a lot of body work done and was even able to shoot some primer. The first half of the pictures are a month or more old and the others are from this week. Heres a look at the 52 super that will be donating rear sheet metal: Uploaded with ImageShack.us I have spent countless ...
I've enjoyed looking at pictures of other members' cars so here are a few of mine. It's a 1951 Roadmaster that hasn't ran since the 70's. I picked it up summer of 2011 for 700 bucks. I decided to do a frame off restoration but change a few things from factory. I'll be keeping the original drivetrain but lowering it and doing a few minor performance upgrades including headers, 1941 dual carb set up and a little more compression. Due to a deal that was too good to pass up I haven't had much time to work on the Riviera but today the patch for the right front fender was welded in. This car had a small block Chevrolet and automatic installed plus the Mustang II front end was already welded in. I thought it would be a quick scuff and shoot then flip but once we looked it over we decided to start over and make it right. 1947 Olds 008.jpg 1947 Olds 012.jpg 1947 Olds 013.jpg ...
The hoist was delivered and installed and it is much easier to work on the car now. To strip the hood the car was raised up and that left a clear work area underneath. It also makes it nice as the car can be raised to just the right level to work on the lower fender patch. The hood was stripped top and bottom to see if it could be saved and now it needs a strip of new metal across the front replaced. 1965 Riviera 101.jpg 1965 Riviera 099.jpg 1965 Riviera 100.jpg ...
