I am preparing to order new hood insulation for my '64 Riv. Is there a specific adhesive to use or one that anyone can recommend? I live in Illinois, so ambient temps range from a possible +105 to -20.

If you donot use the ret.s then you can use headliner spray from 3M @ or some product as this for headliners .
You can find this at most Auto. Parts stores .. HTH Guyopel:beers:

The correct hood insulation does not have to be nor was it originally glued from the factory. The proper insulation is sitff enough to hold itself into place between the outlines of the supports for the hoods bracing. They come in four seperate pieces. Every time I raced my '64 Riv. I used to remove them.

Thanks for the replies. Someone had installed insulation some time ago on my car and glued it. The present pieces did not fit very tight so it appeared that glue was needed. Some of them are starting to fall out. I will order new insulation and see how it fits.
