I have disasembaled my engine. I have found this number on the main bearing M M400 then right below 8944. Is this a stock crank shaft or has it been turned down. Also rod bearing number is 8943 and GM M400.
The crankshaft # 1173341.
I need a motor manual for this engine. So I can get all the specification.

These Are Probably The Orig Brgs. As That Is The Id On All Original Gm Main Brgs. Also No One Ever Made An Aftermarket Crank. This Engine Has Most Likely Neve Been Apart. Heres An Inportant Tip.... When Rebuilding Make Sure To Use A Rubber Rear Seal For The Rear Main . Contact Best Gasket Co In L.a. Calif. For This And Whole Gaskeet Set @888-3332378. Have Fun, Alan
