I have a broken actuator assembly at the bottom of my tilt wheel column--other than that, column is in good shape--anyone have any idea of where I might be able to go for Tilt wheel column parts such as this, rather than buying an entire column for just one part? I have searched thru all the parts suppliers I can find with no luck so far. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me/thanks--Rick

Try these guys (http://www.amesperf.com/) or these guys (http://www.ss396.com/). They may have it for another A-body of the same year.

Dr. Frankenbuick--thanks for your response--I appreciate your advise--I tried both Ames and Groundup, but they do not sell my part only--I did find the part I need in e-bay, for a 63 Wildcat(full size), but I don't think this will fit my '65 Skylark/Thank you again-Rick

If the actuator that you are referring to is the one for the turn signals then that piece is the same for virtually all early GM tilt columns up to 1966. There are basically two versions of that actuator, or more commonly referred to as a turn signal switch. One has three extra terminals for cars with the optional cornering lights available on the full sized Buicks, Cadillacs, Pontiacs, and Oldsmobiles. The other does not have them. Either one will function the turn signals alone just fine.
