My 1997 Buick LaSaber with a 3.8L engin has the check engin light on constantly. In North Carolina that causes it to fail emission inspection. The car runs great.
The codes that the inspection station gave me are:
P0107
P0305
P1406
Last year the Ignition wires and spark plugs were changed (At least I paid for them to be changed) and that didn't make the light go out.
The car was originally from PA, so i don't know if that causes different settings for the fuel or air intake system.
If someone has simmilar problem please advise soultion.
Is there a order for attacking the three different troble codes?
I am a college student and would like to find the most cost effective correction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jack , The first code is MAP sensor ,sec. is misfire code & last is EGR code.
I would R&R the EGR valve to clean ( EGR valve is prone to sticking ) .Clean with carb. cleaner and scrape the carbon out around the tip . The EGR sticking would set the codes you said you have and this is the first place to start and is the best spent money .. HTH Guyopel
