We have a 1955 Buick 2door hard top. It has 4 port holes and the liquid horizontal speedometer. It has "Special" written on the side. We want to find more information on this model, but don't know how to go about it. Can anyone help? It might help us narrow the field if we knew what questions to ask. Our email address is:kayromero632003@yahoo.com

There is something amis here.
A Special was the Entry-Level model and was a 3 holer.
If You open the hood, on the fire wall., on the face of the Cowl Panel (Between the Hood and Windshield, Passenger Side there is an Aluminum Tag Rivited to the Panel which will provide some Valued information. as well as the Vin # which will also be a tag mounted on the drivers door front piller when opened..
If you can relay that information that is on those TAGS, We will be able to HELP! You out and Pin-Point the Valued Information You are LQQKING for!

Thanks for responding so soon. I checked the information that you suggested. First of all, I made a mistake. The emblem on the front fender is "Super". The vin# is B2019356, and the numbers on the face of the Cowl Panel are: Style-4537, Body #3116, and Trim #453. We weren't sure if the Trim number referred to paint, so I included it just in case. I hope these numbers help. We appreciate your help in our new journey. :wavey:

The Super is a "C" Body, Longer and Wider than the Special/Century "B" body.
Length 215" Wheel base is 127" which gives the car the famous Buick ride.
The car has coil springs in the rear which is unique to Buick alsng with an Inclosed Drivershaft called a "Torque Tube".
I hope this is the type of information that You were looking for?

:waving: Hey Kayromero!
I see that You are a NEW MEMBER!
Welcome Aboard!
By the way, I forgot to mention that the car was made at the Southgate CA, Assembly Plant.
Tell us some more information in regard to your Car. Exterior and Interior Colors and what needs a little TLC. and the story behind the story of how You obtained your very own example of Buick History!
There are a LOT of things We All can HELP! each other out with, so don't be Bashfull!
Your Super will turn a Lot of Heads.
When I first obtained my Buick and had it parked in the Driveway, I had about 2 dozen people approach me about the carover the course of a weekend. People even stopped and rang the doorbell inquiring about it.
The Portholes ("Venti-Ports") stump them every time!
