My wife went to get something out of trunk of the car while it was running and she noticed a rotten egg smell. When we got home i checked and it still had that smell. Is there any one could tell me what i can do about this? Does this have any effect on how the car runs, we noticed that some time it will have stall or completely die. no check engine light comes on, Is there any thing we can do to fix this problem dont really want to take it to the shop. I know years ago they used to have a product on shelf for the catalytic converter cleaner but dont know if its still around. I would really appreciate some advise, Im asumming its the converter since there is a rotten egg smell. thanks

This can be caused by a lean condition.. vacuum leaks .. e.g.r. valve stuck open.. o-2 sensor damaged & giving a false rich signal ( computer then leans fuel ) I would start with looking for vacuum leaks (broken or disconnected hose etc.) :beers: HTH
