I'm probably going to have to buy the Lady of the house a new ride within the next year or so.

What does everyone think about the New Buick La Crosse ?

I don't have my mind made up one way or the other so, you're not going to hurt my feelings if you have negative opinions. So fire away with Good or Bad opinions. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

graemlins/wavey.gif Hey 39 Century!

I have seen the new LaCross. I'm very impressed with the Interior Appointments and the Exterior Styling. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
There are 3 Models in which to choose: the Base Model the CX has the 3.8 with Cloth Seats for 23. The CXL which has the 3.8 with leather for 25 and the top of the line the CXS which has a new S/C 3.6 Aluminium Engine.
I haven't rear any reviews from the critics or car and driver ect concerning performance and handling.
My daily driver is a 2000 Regal CSX which has the belt driven S/C 3.8. It has 75 K on it and I have only had to replace the Tires and Brakes.I'm Estatic with the 3.8 and I get easily get 30MPG. (on a 400 mile trip that involved some stop & go traffic congestion I got 32.8 MPG) if I keep my foot out of it. A real sleeper. The 3.8 was voted as one of the 10 best Powerplants of the 20th Century and rightly so. Economical, Dependable, and Powerfull. Tried and True and if properly maintained you should be able to get 250 thousand out of a 3800. My Brother-IN-Law has used synthetic oil (as I do) and has over 300K on his 88 Lesabre. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I don't know why Buick developed the 3.6 other than it is Aluminum and it is too early to get any data regarding the new powerplant.

I forwarded to You all the information I'm aware of.
I hopes it HELPS! You out.

I had a chance to drive one, and it is really a good handling Buick. The 3.6 is the newest brainstorm to try to replace the 3.8. It has variable valve timing and really runs good. I still like the old tried and true 3,8.
