The aluminum 300 CI motor came in two versions: a 9-1 compression 2 bbl engine with 210 HP and a 11-1 4 bbl engine with 250 hp. There is more concerning the specifications here (http://www.buicks.net/years/64/64tech.html).

The horsepower ratings were gross until 1972. I researched various car specs between 1971 and 1972, and the horsepower decrease was about 22 percent under net ratings.
