Lost my key for my 98 Park Ave.and the Dealer wants $35.00 for new key. Is this a fare price? Anybody know of a cheaper place then dealers? Thanks, Whiskers

you're probably not going to be able to find a better price since your key is most likely the programmable kind - and needs to be programmed at the dealer!

Yes it is a programmable key. Was just wondering if there are any bootleged keys out there. Like how does the junkyard start them with out keys?

I don't think you would want a "bootlegged" key for your car.
The dealership needs your car to program the key, and I would imagine, if the key has been programmed once, it can't be reprogrammed to another car, since that would set the alarm off in the new car.

Not bad at all. I had a 2002 Ford Ranger Pickup, and the keys for that one were $160.00 each.

Jim.
