Does anyone know if I will have any problems with a set of Poston 340 Headers for a Skylark/GS on my '66 Buick LeSabre. Any clearance problems with the motor mounts, accessories, cross member, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I am in the process of installing those headers on my 1967 skylark. Let's just say, it has not been easy. The one header would not fit past the lower control arm mount, and we had to take off the transmission crossmember so we could swing the tranny out of the way enough to get it by, even then, it was not leaving any room between the control arm mount, and the header, so I had to take a grinder to part of the mount, and bend a part of the header with a hammer so that it could fit by confortably. Now, looking at the driver side, I am very worried about the steering column. All aside, these are great headers, and the only ones that I know of for the 340. If your willing o push through all these problems, then I recommend them.

Thanks Jared,

I may give them a shot and see how it goes. Thanks for the warnings, I may just buy a set of weld up headers and custom make a pair if I can't get these headers to work.
