getting ready to do an intake swap on my 67 300. i found a cast intake from a 65 300 & was wondering what carb or selection of carbs would work, like should i go with an electric choke etc. also, what about the linkage, do i need to find a complete new linkage or can i use part of my old 2bbl linkage etc. any help or info appreciated, thanks, rooster.

I've done this swap on my son's graduation present(64 Skylark). You will need a Carter small throat AFB and small base air cleaner. They will accept a carter/edelbrock electric choke kit. You can use the 2bbl. linkage but you will have to modify the dashpot bracket to make it work on the 4bbl. carb.
