what can we do with my 350 cid Buick 2bbl to make a litle more power ?...what a camshaft and intake manifold would you take fore more performance ?.. ..in my chevy 350 engine I take a "Holley Contender" intake manifold with a EDE "Performer" camshaft and EDE 650 "AVS Thunder" with headers and double exhaust system ..a selfmade "Coldair" system with K&N Air cleaner!..is this recommended also for BUICK 350 engines ?
PS...I hope you understand my woory english ! ;)

There are a lot of possibilities. You won't find the major manufacturers (Holley, etc.) make a lot of Buick-specific parts. Non-engine specific things like carbs and spark plugs can be gotten, but for fancy stuff like intake manifolds you will have a tough time finding stuff.
I have worked with TA Performance (on the website I sent you to before) and had great success with their stuff. There are some other vendors too.
My opinion is that you need to make the engine breathe- headers, carb, intake manifold, camshaft, are all key to making that 350 perform. And if you can get some head porting done, then even better. The ignition stuff is also very important, maybe an HEI setup (look at http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com/ to get your existing distributor reworked to HEI), and consider an MSD 6 or 6AL.

ok.."the same procedere like other engines" graemlins/hurray.gif next question: somebody tell me that a ignitition distributor from newer Buick 350 engines will work with my early 350 engine !...I need a ignitition like cars with a HEI (chevy) distributor !..but there is a problem ..one of this turn clockwise the other one turn towards !?...can you tell me what a distibutor I take for this ?..Iīm also think my old (original) distributor is damaged !..looks not "good conditioned" !! graemlins/clonk.gif
PS..sorry ..If I have double questions .but sometimes I donīt understand the answers exactly

Buicks also came with HEI. However at some point in the late '70s, Buick started to use the Chevy 350 in place of the Buick 350. The two engines are very different.
Did you look at the page about the small body HEIs? I have heard of a lot of people that are very happy with his conversions, and I think he does some basic rebuild stuff at the same time. So you should be able to send him the distributor that you have and he can probably rework it to be almost brand new.
The traditional HEI setup (available on the later years of the 350) can be a bit of a headache- the modules are notoriously unreliable. However if you are firmly decided on using one, they will drop right in. If you find an HEI from a 455 they will also work, but you will have to change the drive gear (simply press the pin out and the gear will slide off).
