Hi all. I am restoring a 68 Skylark Convert and the engine has been a nightmare. It's a 350 and literally every piece in the engine was junk. I have had to replace everything but the block. Well I've finally got everything here and I'm ready to go. Here is the question. Is there any tricks or querks to building this engine? I have done many small block Fords and Chevys but never a Buick. If there is anything special I should know please pass it on.
Thanks

Get Jim Burek's book " Building the Buick V-8".
I has been my bible and I'm sure, many other's.
Try: jburek@paeenterprises.com.
Enough said!
Can I get halleluya from the congregation ?

mostly the same as a chev i think.
Haynes makes a work manual for rebuilding GM engines, I used it to rebuild the motor in my buick and it runs like a champ!
it has all the torque specs and has all the machining specs, and procedures you need to build a motor from the block up.
Should cost about 15 at a good auto parts store.
