Need the firing order and the spark plug wire positions from the spark plugs via the spark plug wires to the distributor. When under the hood which bank left and right are the plugs numbered?

When under the hood which bank left and right are the plugs numbered? theoldguy 10-10-2003, 08:20 AM The firing order is: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, The wires go in clockwise in the distributor starting from the first hole clockwise from the door in the cap. The engine has the number one cylinder on the drivers side and they are numbered 1-3-5-7 down that side. The numbers 2-4-6-8 are on the passenger side. Hope this helps PS this is only if it is a Buick engine. That means the distributor is in the front. I am not sure when they started putting "corporate" engies in so be careful Riegl One 10-10-2003, 08:41 AM Joe, The distributor is in the back near the firewall directly behind the carb. Does the firing oreder and cylinder numbering still hold true? |
