There is a bunch of casting number info and engine identification info in the buicks.net shop. There is a link at the top of the page.

If it is a '67, it is probably a 340, the 350 didn't come out till '68

Let us know what you find.

Catalina,

Have a look at this site- http://www.taperformance.com/newpage1.htm

TA Performance is a manufacturer of many performance parts for Buick motors. Their site has some good information on it, have a look. Also, look at http://www.taperformance.com/facts.htm

Between those two pages, maybe you can figure out what engine you have. They don't track the numbers that you have (at least that I could figure out) but maybe it will be helpful.

Buick never came out with a motor that they called HO- you could consider them High Output, but that's an opinion and not a name. I think Pontiac had some motors called HO, but not Buick.

In any case, the 350 is a great motor, I think you'll be happy with it.

Hope that helps!

There is another site for Pontiacs, I just can't remember it now. When the time comes that you want a Pontiac site, post a note and I'll try to track it down for you.

thanks for urls..I will take a look at this !..the cast number ---> 1382201 of the engine says it is a early buick 350 CID ..the buick engine is the only from the B.O.P īs that have the ignition distributor at frontside !
