I'm using Poston frame/motor mounts to convert a 1970 skylark 350 to a 455. the frame mounts bolt in exactly as per the Poston directions, however the driver side frame mount hangs over the front edge of the frame crossmember by about an inch. It lines up perfectly with the factory bolt holes, but it looks odd to me.

Has anyone used Poston frame mounts to do 350 to 455 engine swap before. I'm putting a big block into a 1970 skylark, and the driver side frame mount bolts in securely, but it hangs over the front edge of the crossmember by an inch or so.Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. Postons provides good instructions which clearly explain where to put the frame mounts, but I'd rather not mess this up.
